Do What's Right
“The time is always right to do what is right.” – Martin Luther King Jr.
Some of us have a habit of looking around before we act. We wonder who may be watching. And often, that thought dictates our behavior. We perform when people are present and compromise when they are not.
But integrity is not a performance. It is not something we turn on when others are looking and turn off when they are not. There is right and there is wrong. And no gray area should ever be big enough to convince you to ignore your conscience.
Simply because you can get away with something does not make it right. In the end, the consequences of your actions fall solely upon you. Even if no one else sees it, you know. Even if no one else hears it, you heard it.
