Focus on what You've Done
“If you look at what you have in life, you’ll always have more. If you look at what you don’t have in life, you’ll never have enough.” – Oprah Winfrey
Throughout our daily lives, there is usually quite a bit going on. To keep pace and make the most out of each day, many of us create ‘to-do’ lists—our daily agendas.
When we complete a task, we check it off and move on to the next. Rarely do we get to check everything off, and that unfinished business is usually the first thing that grabs our attention.
Instead of focusing on the one or two items we didn’t complete, we should look at the six or seven we did. Those are accomplishments—proof of a day well spent.
Yet, it’s easy for most of us to stress over what didn’t get done.
That same mindset carries over into our lives. Many people focus on what’s missing instead of what’s been achieved.
