Look Within
“What lies behind us and what lies before us are tiny matters compared to what lies within us.” – Henry Stanley Haskins
Our past will always be a part of who we are. It shapes us, teaches us, and in many ways helps determine where we stand today. We carry both the good memories and the difficult ones with us, whether we realize it or not. But no matter how powerful those memories may be, we cannot go back and relive a single moment of what has already passed.
At the same time, our future has a way of pulling our thoughts forward. We imagine what could happen, what we hope will happen, and sometimes what we fear might happen. The problem is that none of it has been written yet. We don’t know what tomorrow will bring, no matter how much we try to plan or predict it.
Too often, we get caught somewhere in between, stuck thinking about what has already happened or worrying about what might happen next. In doing so, we lose sight of what truly matters.
The present.
Right now is where everything lives. Right now is where your effort matters. Right now is where your potential exists.
