Open the Door
“Opportunities multiply as they are seized; they die when neglected.” – John Wicker
There’s a common saying that when one door closes, another one opens.
It sounds encouraging. It sounds comforting. But it’s not always true.
Opportunities don’t always come back around. Some are rare. Some are once-in-a-lifetime. And when those doors close, they can stay closed forever.
That’s why waiting can be dangerous.
Opportunity doesn’t always come knocking. More often, it’s something you have to pursue. Something you have to go after.
Sometimes that means turning the handle yourself. Sometimes it means pushing harder. And sometimes it means forcing your way through when things don’t open easily.
The people who move forward in life aren’t the ones waiting for doors to open. They’re the ones creating opportunities by taking action.
