When we encounter people who are struggling or less fortunate, our first response is often sympathy. We see physical hardships, financial struggles, or difficult circumstances and immediately recognize the challenges they face. But some of the greatest struggles in life are not always visible on the outside.

There are many people who appear to have everything, success, possessions, comfort, and opportunity, yet they completely lose sight of what truly matters.

In chasing wealth, status, and material things, people can slowly become blind to the qualities that give life its greatest meaning. Kindness, love, compassion, creativity, and connection are often pushed aside in pursuit of things that can be replaced at any moment.

That kind of blindness is dangerous because it is often chosen.
