Show Me
“What you do speaks so loud that I cannot hear what you say.” – Ralph Waldo Emerson
Today was the first time I have ever come across this quote, and it quickly became one of my favorites.
I’m a big actions guy. I tell my players and my children all the time, the proof is in the pudding. It isn’t about what you tell me. It isn’t about what you say you’re going to do. It’s about what you do. It’s about what you show me.
Don’t tell me about all the work you’re putting into your game outside of practice. Show me.
Don’t tell me you’re going to start working harder on the defensive end of the floor. Show me.
Don’t tell me you’re going to start rebounding with more intent. Show me. Do it.
