Start Small
“The man who removes a mountain begins by carrying away small stones.” – Chinese Proverb
It’s easy to get caught looking too far ahead.
We think about the weekend when it’s only Monday. We think about summer when winter has just begun. We focus so much on what’s coming that we lose sight of what we can do right now.
But every meaningful accomplishment is built in the present.
Big goals are achieved through small, consistent actions. Each step may seem insignificant on its own, but over time those steps begin to add up. They form progress, and progress creates momentum.
The problem is that many people want to skip those small steps. They want to jump ahead to the result without putting in the time it takes to get there. But that is not how anything lasting is built.
